MOL Group keep busy at WPC 2014

MOL Group Oil and Gas
June 16, 2014

This week, we will be keeping MOL Group’s board members busy at the 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow, one of this year’s key global events for the oil and gas industry.

Over their morning coffees, delegates will have had the chance to read through a interview with MOL Group CEO Jozsef Molnar in the official show newspaper, where he spoke about plans to boost oil and gas production from their assets in Kurdistan, the North Sea and Pakistan.

Executive VP for Exploration, Alex Dodds, followed up with a live interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box (global audience 330 million) this morning. Later today, Alex will speaking to Russian news agency Interfax and renowned oil and gas magazine Petroleum Economist, on MOL Group operations and strategy in Russia and beyond.

The baton then passes back to MOL Group CEO on Wednesday. Following a plenary speech on financing for the industry, he will be speaking to three of Russia’s top oil and gas journals – all in the very capable hands of our MD Stephen Ballard.

All in all, great visibility for MOL Group at an event attended by all of the oil and gas majors and supermajors, all vying for time with overstretched journalists. And testament to having good existing relationships with key titles, approaching them early and with an engaging pitch.
